Alpine meets Freeride: World-class ski racer Julia Mancuso (USA) is taking part in the World Heli Challenge in Wanaka/NZ (30.07-8.08.2010). The fast Völkl female skier is also well-known for presenting a good figure off the piste. The Heli adventure is also attracting many other top stars.
Untouched, challenging slopes and perfect snow conditions - this exclusive pleasure can normally only be realized at the Heli. So it is no wonder that the world's best skiers are keen to take up the opportunities of the World Heli Challenge.
This year, in addition to the "newcomer" Julia Mancuso, whose run at last winter's Verbier Xtreme earned her a spot on the podium, 50 invited skiers and snowboarders from six nations are charging giant lines in Mt. Aspiring National Park. Included in the Völkl line-up is also the current top Big Mountain female skier, Ane Enderud (NOR). Also there will be Völkl skier Ted Davenport (USA), last year's winner, and local hero Sam Smoothy (NZ).
