The last day of the year 2009 was, as planned, well used by organizers to advance the high quality preparation of the Zagreb/Sljeme's Crveni spust race course for the slalom races. Warm weather and rain cannot stop the Vip Snow Queen Trophy any more.
Although it has been warm and rainy in the last days, causing some problems for the organizers, final confirmation was given on New Year's Eve that Audi FIS Ski World Cup Vip Snow Queen Trophy slalom races can take place on 3 and 6 January 2010.
Current state of Zagreb/Sljeme's Crveni spust race course is still overall good, which was confirmed in an inspection made by FIS Race Director for the ladies' technical events Markus Mayr (AUT). And a new cold weather front should reach Zagreb/Sljeme on New Year's Day. That front should facilitate the final preparation for the races.
