Spanish no. 1 Maria Josè Rienda Contreras will face another long lay-off.
The Giant Slalom specialist underwent a left knee surgery in Seville to repair a broken cruciate ligament.
Rienda, a five-time World Cup winner, injured again during the GS race at Aspen and will be out for almost five months.
The 33-year-old from Granada came back on the slopes this season after suffering a severe knee injury in November 2006, which forced her to skip the entire 2007-2008 season.
