Who is in Saas Fee (SUI)?
The World Cup men technical team: Axel Brooks, Anton Lahdenperä, Jens Byggmark, Andre Myhrer, Markus Larsson, and Mattias Hargin and trainer / physio: Marko Pfeifer, Magnus Larsson Oscar Larsson and Ulf Ackermann Leaf
How are the snow conditions?
The snow lies on the glacier white and also in large quantities. Hopefully the next high pressure weather constellation will make the snow melt throughout the day and have it freeze up again over night time!
Are all team members healthy and strong?
The whole gang is on top and impressed both on the slopes and in physical training!
And what about training?
So far, the rain gods laughed at our faces which meant tuned workouts. Weather reports for the rest of the week promises to be cold and sunny, which means good and fast rides!
How's the food?
The Swiss cuisine is of high standard as always - no trainers or skiers ever go to bed hungry!
How many gates do you carry up and down the hill every day?
Approximately 60 gates ... only!? But remember to put it in relation to the high altitude - 3500 meters above sea level.
What do you do the rest of the day / days?
In Saas Fee it is all open, play a short round of golf at the miniature golf course, tennis on center court etc...
What are the funniest adventures / activities you did other than skiing?
In addition to golf and tennis, it is not entirely impossible that a week includes a visit to the village's high rope and toboggan run ..
What has been the craziest thing?
Probably Magnus "Larry" Larsson's "first" from the top to the lifts - the lack of crust, which inevitably led to the season's worst ever crash!
Who has forgotten the most important thing and where and when was that?
So far, the team behaved flawlessly.
Okay, we will return it ... Who has the hottest tan for "vacation"?
You will probably find the guys having Monaco as their home address.
What physical training has been the most fun?
Tuesday's training with the rubber band - what an impressive 1800 feet above sea level and racing with torsional force can do for the heart rate!
What is the craziest thing that happened during camp?
It was probably to realize last Friday that our Audi car got stolen in Zurich and was found again by the police 48 hours later. The Registration plates had been swapped but the team logos were still there along with ten pairs of new slalom skis.... Many thanks to the Swiss police!
What do you want to say to the skidor.com's readers?
Hope you had a great summer, see you on the slopes!
Greetings from the Swedish men's World Cup team
