The Swiss men's head coach Osi Inglin has revised the set-up of his coaching crew for the national teams for the new season. Following the departure of Hans Flatscher to the role of the ladies' head coach and Reto Schläppi to the newly-created position of U-16 chief, Inglin was forced to review the set up of the training groups and their coaches.
The largest change is that there will be three instead of four World Cup training groups. The two speed groups will be combined into one which will be led by group coach Roland Platzer. The tech World Cup group will be newly coached by Steve Locher and the combined group by Sepp Brunner as before.
The groups led by Brunner and Locher will have new sub-groups, coached by Jörg Roten (giant slalom) and Didier Plaschy (slalom) as group coaches. These groups will work closely with the World Cup groups and train together with them.
