The men's technical World Cup group of Austria completed a slalom training at the Alpine Center Hamburg-Wittenburg at the end of July. Reinfried Herbst, Mario Matt, Manfred Pranger, Marcel Hirscher, Joachim Puchner and Wolfgang Hörl had to carry out two training sessions per day for two hours each time.

Group coach Christian Höflehner was satisfied after the training weekend far up north: "We have laid the emphasis on the technique, especially in the flat passages. The guys can ski many gates in a short time on this rock-hard piste."

Except for the Carinthian Rainer Schoenfelder, who trained with the giant slalom and combined group in Zermatt last week, the entire Austrian Slalom Ski Team was in Wittenburg.
