Close of the exchange at the transfer market: Just the Atomic athletes 2010/2011 who have already signed their new contract won 9 Olympic medals and 23 medals at World Championships, 101 World Cup races and finished on the podium 282 times - and: they go for more in the World Championships winter with the doubledeck generation 3.0.
Latest news: Benni Raich and Michael Walchhofer stay Atomic-stars!
Benni Raich and Michael Walchhofer celebrated all their victories on ATOMIC (they won 50 World Cup races and have 129 top-3-results) - the extension of their successful partnership with their lifetime-supplier in Altenmarkt was only a mere formality. Raich made his decision after a solid "market analysis": "This year I consciously tested other brands - and it supported my decision: There's no better surrounding and no better material for me than ATOMIC."
Raich and Walchhofer, the old hands and mentors in the future ATOMIC team. "Carlo Janka, World Champion, Olympic Champion and overall World Cup winner at the age of 23, sets new standards: Benni Raich and Michi Walchhofer will compete in their top-disciplines with him, Marcel Hirscher and Felix Neureuther will try to keep in touch with Carlo - these are the racers with the highest potential within the next years, the most important athletes at the transfer market", ATOMIC Race Director Rudi Huber is glad about the list of stars for the upcoming winter - the only two stars who are not listed any more: Aksel Lund Svindal und Kjetil Jansrud.
JANKA: „IT WORKS, IT MAKES ME FASTER, IT IS MINE"
Carlo Janka commented on the first test of the ATOMIC Doubledeck: „It works, it makes me faster, it is mine!" And his feeling hasn't really changed - far from it: "With the third generation of D2 ATOMIC has made another huge step in evolution. Sort of D2 3.0." Carlo Janka is looking forward to the reopening of the European airports because he is already on the go to Manchester. On April 24, Carlo wants to hand over a Doubledeck "Gold Edition" to Sir Alex Ferguson, wants to shake hands with Wayne Rooney and will keep his fingers crossed for ManU in Old Trafford, the "Theatre of Dreams".
SPEED-UNIT WANTS TO TURN WORLD CUP INTO "THEATRE OF DREAMS"
Like Michael Walchhofer, Mario Scheiber wants to - after his successful comeback - turn the World Cup slopes 2010/2011 into his "Theatre of Dreams". Also Daniel Albrecht wants to live this dream of a successful comeback: "I am working hard on my comeback and get back my feeling step by step." Apart from that, according to Race Director Rudi Huber, there are some more interesting options for the speed-unit, but, "We will talk about contracts with athletes when they are signed."
LADY LARA AND THE ATOMIC AUSTRIAN FOUR
For the youngest in the ATOMIC team, Lara Gut, the new season will start for her in May - Marlies Schild has already celebrated a great comeback and "might start in giant slalom this winter". Like the rest of the „ATOMIC Austrian Four", Olympic Champion Andrea Fischbacher, Kathrin Zettel and Michaela Kirchgasser (who - at the moment - is doing a course to become skiing instructor).
