Finnish ski racer Tanja Poutiainen tested the Fischer skis at Levi (FIN) and rapidly made the decision to change her ski brand for the next two seasons.

Poutiainen was pleased to be contacted by Fischer which places a lot of emphasis on ski racing.

"For me this is like a transfer to the ‘Ferrari of Alpine Ski Racing'. Fischer offer a holistic approach: equipment, service and an opportunity for development of the material. I have experience in this work and I am sure I can contribute to them as well," Poutiainen commented to Finnish channel MTV 3.

Poutiainen's main future goal is Sochi 2014 in four years. She notes that she will thoroughly evaluate the equipment to ensure that it works in all circumstances in the best possible way.

"The firm demonstrated that they were really ready and interested in having me on their team, being successful together and investing what is necessary for that," she said.

Moving from her current brand Völkl, Poutiainen will join Sanni Leinonen and Denise Karbon, a good and experienced colleague, on the Fischer team and expects to benefit from their help in further developing the equipment.

"It is only positive that I know some racers on the team. We train together with Sanni so we can immediately share our comments and thoughts on what might help even further," Poutiainen told MTV 3.

Poutiainen's change was eased by the decision of her long-term serviceman Jani Tuupainen to also switch to Fischer.
