The snow control check in Schladming was positive and nothing stands in the way for the eagerly anticipated ski event on the Planai on 26 January 2010. Preparations for the "Nightrace" - a World Cup Men's Night Slalom - are running according to plan.

Over 15,000 advance tickets have been sold with the various categories of VIP tickets already sold out; the race itself is expected to attract around 50,000 spectators. There have been sufficient tickets reserved for the race evening itself (Red Card € 17.00).

A special programme on the World Cup mile with stands, 3 event stages and videowalls will provide for a superb atmosphere surrounding the event.

Guests of honour and celebs in attendance will include Barbara Wussow, Vera Russmann, Rudi Roubinek alias "Seifenstein", Christian Klien, Mark Janko and Toni Polster. The Austrian Federal President Heinz Fischer, Federal Chancellor Werner Faymann and Vice-Chancellor Josef Pröll will also be present.
