The first teams have arrived in Val d'Isère after their North American tour. The rest of the teams will be arriving in time for the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup events this week. It has been snowing in Val early this week and the conditions are outstanding for the weekend's competition. The official arrival is on Wednesday with the first team captains' meeting set for Thursday.

The official snow control for the ladies' events the weekend after the men's competitions was positive. As decided earlier, the ladies' races will take place at La Daille and not on the Solaise Mountain which was used during the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2009. The competition schedule has not been changed and will begin as planned with a super combined on Friday 18th December, downhill on Saturday 19th December and super-G on Sunday, 20th December.
