Niklas Carlsson, who is currently working as Event & Sponsorship Manager at FIS, the International Ski Federation, has been appointed the new Alpine Director at the Swedish Ski Association.

Niklas Carlsson, who resides in Åre, will commence his new post on 1st August 2010, thus returning to the Swedish Ski Association, where he previously worked as Head Coach of the Alpine Ski Team. He will succeed Andres Sundqvist in this role.

"Anders Sundqvist has done a good job during his years as the Alpine Director and we are now in discussions with him about his future with us," said Per Lehmann, Secretary General of the Swedish Ski Association.
