The athletes of the German Ski Association are struggling with injuries three weeks before the start of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup 2011/2012 season. The last of the DSV athletes to be hit is Felix Neureuther. The 27-year-old injured his right shoulder in training in Mölltal this week. Neureuther had the same shoulder operated on in May, and now needs to take a 10-day-break from training. "I was actually quite lucky," he says and adds: "This is a good test which I should not forget so quickly."

The Germans' injury worries began with reigning overall World Cup champion Maria Höfl-Riesch who hurt her ankle in slalom training in New Zealand in late August and had to take it easier for a short while.
