The reigning overall FIS World Cup winner Marcel Hirscher is starting the new season with a new look. Hirscher is launching his own icon series. The series is quirky, and eye-catching. From now on, the 23-year-old racer will be the first World Cup racer in history to race his own range of equipment. The Atomic Marcel Hirscher Icon Series bears all the hallmarks of the man after whom it was named. Because Hirscher, a passionate motocross and freestyle motocross fan, has indelibly stamped his personal mark on the logo and all of the artwork at the Atomic development division in Altenmarkt. "From now on, not only can I ski the way I am," says Hirscher, "but I now also have the skis that are the way I am."
In the World Cup the new Icon Series will be exclusive to Marcel Hirscher. Otherwise, though, anyone can use the original Hirscher ski or Hirscher helmet – as long as they're quick enough. There are three models of ski and one helmet featuring the original Hirscher design. The highlight of the new Icon Series is Hirscher's new Redster Marcel Hirscher SL MTL: beneath the transparent race base is a black and signal red design. Inspired by Hirscher's aggressive style of skiing, where the crowd usually gets to see only the underside of his skis, is, precisely, the underside of the ski designed by the man himself. Junior racers can emulate their hero with two junior ski models featuring the Hirscher design: the Redster Marcel Hirscher JR II ETS and Redster Marcel Hirscher JR III ETM.Hirscher's helmet is also distinctive: the Troop SL Marcel Hirscher with special red and yellow paintwork comes in two sizes – and fills every fan with the absolute confidence that they are using the very same equipment as the best skier in the world.
The limited Marcel Hirscher Icon Series will be available in limited numbers from selected specialist retailers world-wide.
