Lindsey Vonn seems to be having a pretty exciting summer despite stepping up her training regime as of late. After a three-week dryland training block in Austria, Vonn announced on Facebook that she was in the running for the 2010 Female Athlete Teen Choice Award following a record breaking alpine ski racing season.

On June 25, Vonn posted a new entry on her Facebook page saying that she has also been nominated for the ESPY Award in two categories, namely as "Best Female Athlete" and "Best Female US Olympic Athlete".

"I feel truly honored to be nominated and I am up against some stiff competition," Vonn said. Her teammate Julia Mancuso as well as Bode Miller, who became one of four athletes to ever win Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal in Alpine Skiing at a single Winter Olympics, are also nominated for the ESPYs.

Some days later, Vonn got the chance to put her hand prints in the cement in Vienna for a special event called "Strasse der Sieger" (street of champions), something that is comparable with the Hollywood Boulevard walk of fame.

This event was followed by two weeks of hard training in Austria before the American female skier headed to Wimbledon at the beginning of July for a 2 day break and to watch some tennis! She attended both the Men's and Women's finals and although Vonn was disappointed that Roger Federer did not make it to the finals this year, she was excited to see some amazing tennis.

"It will be really nice to have a couple days off from training," Lindsey Vonn was quoted saying before Wimbledon. One of her highlights at the 2010 Wimbledon Championships - besides watching the finals with Rafael Nadal against Tomas Berdych - was to meet the tennis legend Björn Borg and take a picture with him!
