Larsson injured in training

Markus Larsson suffered a head injury during the 1st downhill training run ahead of the Men's World Cup downhill in Wengen.

The Swedish slalom specialist fell heavily close to the finishing jump and lost consciousness.

The 30-year-old, who managed two World Cup wins in his career, was immediately transported by helicopter to the hospital in nearby Interlaken.

The extent of his injuries were not immediately known.
