Kostelic to get speed advice from Ghedina

Ivica Kostelic will be putting a special emphasis on speed events the coming season. Through a new partnership enabled by Kostelic sponsor Colmar, the former World Cup overall champion will be getting special advice from Kristian Ghedina, a.k.a. Italy’s all-time strongest downhill specialist, who will offer the Croatian champ valuable tips on how to best meet the challenge of alpine speed events.

In fact, the work has already begun. When Ivica went to Germany to test his ski equipment (and own performance) in the Dresden wind tunnel Ghedina attended, giving Kosteliḉ precious advice on his skiing stance, stability and technique.

Currently Kosteliḉ is enjoying a well-deserved vacation on a sailing boat. But once he returns he’ll find his brand new personal speed coach eager to get going. The first date on the duo’s calendar is a press conference with Colmar on July 4th to talk about the partnership and lots more.
