The German ladies' early July training camp saw further focus on intensive strength and endurance training. After the previous camps in Cyprus and Haus im Ennstal the ladies spent four days from 2nd-5th July at the feet of Wilder Kaiser in Going.

The head coach Thomas Stauffer commented: "We do not only have great options for effective strength training here at Stanglwirt, but can also focus on endurance in this area. One of the main highiights was the two-day tour of the Wilder Kaiser including an overnight in the mountain hut and daily hikes of up to 8 hours. The ladies pulled through and mastered the alpine challenges with flying colors.“

The strength facilities at Hotel Stanglwirt are top class, and offered a chance at active recovery following the mountain climb.

"This was another great and diverse even if challenging camp," said slalom racer Christina Geiger. "After climbing over the snow on the traverse of the Wilder Kaiser we are now looking forward to being back on snow in Zermatt from 23rd-28th July!“
