Didier Cuche (SUI) also dominated the second training for the FIS World Cup downhill race in Kvitfjell set for Saturday.

The Swiss team delivered a strong team showing as behind Cuche, Didier Defago, Olympic champions and Carlo Janka finished 3rd and 4th, respectively. Erik Guay of Canada was 2nd fastest, +0.36 behind Cuche.

For both Didier Cuche and Carlo Janka the Kvitfjell races are an important opportunity to score points ahead of the FIS World Cup Finals in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (GER). Currently Cuche leads the downhill rankings by 86 points over Janka with two racing remaining. In the super-G rankings Michael Walchhofer is in the lead, 66 points ahead of the 2010 Olympic super-G champion Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway. In the overall rankings, Benjamin Raich has a lead of 110 points over Carlo Janka. In Friday's training Raich finished 2nd to last over 5 seconds behind Cuche.
