The Austrian men's head coach Mathias Berthold is satisfied after the teams' overseas training camps in Chile (Portillo & Chillan), New Zealand (Wanaka and Treble Cone) and Argentinia (Ushuaia).

"There is always a certain risk in such projects. But the training camps have fulfilled our expectations," summarized Berthold who was able to join the Alpine men's teams at all three venues.

"In the preparation period it is very important that each training has the proper quality and that the overall training intensity is right. With the exception of the slalom goup, all could deliver on their planned programs," he added.

The OeSV teams including Marcel Hirscher, Benjamin Raich and co will now mostly train on the Austrian glaciers until the start of the World Cup season in October in Sölden.
