Austrian ladies set off to New Zealand

The FIS World Cup opening in Soelden is only 87 days ahead. While the Italian Alpine ladies already kicked off on-snow training in New Zealand, Austria‘s ladies ski pool will travel to the same destination on 2nd August for a four-week training camp.

After a successful start in Mallorca (SPA) and further training sessions on home soil, the Austrian team has started on-snow training two weeks ago at the Stilfser Joch (AUT). Following the on-snow camp in New Zealand, Austria’s Alpine ladies will continue training on home glaciers in mid-September.

While Jessica Depauli, 20-year-old Austrian young gun who celebrated a positive World Cup debut in 2011/12 is highly motivated to return after a series of injuries, Austria’s talents Nicole Schmidhofer and Karin Hackl are still waiting for a spot within the Austrian team in the coming winter season.
