Völkl is excited about its latest team addition: Andrea Fischbacher (AUT), the Olympic gold medal winner in super-G at Vancouver 2010. The 26-year-old speed specialist is among the most successful ladies on the alpine World Cup circuit, including two World Cup wins, a bronze in the 2009 super-G in Val-d’Isère and a second place in the World Cup season rankings for downhill in 2008/09. In 2010 she was named "Austria's Female Athlete of the Year."

Andrea Fischbacher is switching from her long-time sponsor Atomic to Völkl. "I did intensive tests while looking for the best equipment for my skiing style. When I tried the equipment from Völkl, it just clicked – from the first moment I felt super fast on the snow. Everything about skiing Völkl makes a terrific impression: professional and yet like family! The best conditions to give my career yet another boost," says the native of Pongau, Austria.

Völkl Racing Director Klaus Gattermann expressed excitement about the new addition: "I'm very pleased that Andrea will be skiing with and for us. I'm certain that our equipment and support team will help her achieve personal best performances – because she's certain to be among the favorites for the 2013 World Champs in her own back yard in Schladming."

Andrea Fischbacher wasn't the only newcomer to the team announced by Gattermann:

Eva-Maria Brem (AUT) has already earned five Top 10 finishes in World Cup GS events. In 2011/12 the 23-year-old won the team competition at the World Cup season finale in Schladming. Like Fischbacher, Eva-Maria Brem is switching from Atomic to Völkl.

Francesca Marsaglia (ITA) is counted among the great young hopes for the Italian Ski Associaion. The 22-year-old from Rome has had her best results to date in the super-G and downhill. She has already achieved multiple Top 20 finishes in her 46 World Cup starts. Francesca Marsaglia comes to Völkl from Rossignol.

Marc Digruber (AUT) is the 2011 Austrian national champion in the super combined. The 24-year-old joins a Völkl men's squad already packed with five of the best slalom skiers in the world – Cristian Deville, Jens Byggmark, Manfred Pranger, Stefano Gross and Wolfgang Hörl. Marc Digruber switched from Salomon to Völkl.
