Last weekend, the 80th edition of Le Mans 24 – one of the main highlights of the motor sports season – saw not only the mass invasion of some 240'000 motor sports fans but also the visit of a number of Audi FIS Ski World Cup athletes. At the kind invitation of Audi, which maintains a very tight connection with Le Mans and celebrated its 11th victory there albeit the first one with a hybrid car, World Cup ski racers Kjetil Jansrud and Adrien Théaux spent an exciting weekend at Le Mans.
Jansrud, attending the event with his brother, and Théaux were among 1000 Audi guests that were treated to some of the best views of the course from the four Audi guest pavilions. Audi guests in Le Mans 24 also included ski crossers Andrea Limbacher, Andy Matt and Andrea Wörner.
“Beautiful weekend with Audi...Best memory: Beating my brother in go-kart - when weighing 2,” commented Jansrud whilst Théaux celebrated with Audi: “Congratulation to the Audi Team at Le Mans for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places!!!”
Le Mans 24 is now the main highlight of the new World Endurance Championship series launched by the FIA at the start of the 2012 season.
