Young Tina Weirather has already seen her fair share of hard times, sustaining three ACL tears on the same knee every time she started moving up the World Cup ranks, beginning in 2007 with her first top 10 finish in the Altenmarkt-Zauchensee super-combined. Training with the tiny Lichtenstein team for many years, for the 2011-2012 season, the 22-year-old joined the Swiss team and promptly landed her first podium right as the speed season began, taking second in the Lake Louise donwhill. Keep an eye on this one ... she's staying healthy and skiing fast. |
